An advanced permanently synchronous electric motor can turn 417 lb-ft of torque into rapid response in the EQS 450+. Dual front and rear-axle motors total 631 lb-ft in the EQS 580, creating an electric version of 4MATIC® all-wheel drive that can adapt the fully variable torque 10,000 times per minute.
Room that maneuvers.
Standard rear-axle steering helps ease parking, turning and city driving. At speed, the rear wheels turn with the fronts for swifter lane changes, or adapt based on driving dynamics for more stable handling. Up to 10 degrees of low-speed steering gives the roomy EQS the turning circle of a compact car.

Self-leveling AIRMATIC® air suspension can adapt each wheel's damping and ride height to optimize agility and poise in response to the loads, roads, and the driving modes of DYNAMIC SELECT. Automatic lowering helps enhance handling and driving range at highway speeds.
DYNAMIC SELECT
A multimode drive program selector on the console lets you transform the car's character with the flip of a switch. Three modes (ECO, Comfort and Sport) alter the drivetrain response, steering effort, and AIRMATIC® suspension. A fourth "Individual" mode allows you to create a mode of your own.

Innovative Touch Controls elevate the multifunction steering wheel to an unparalleled level of user-friendliness. Finger-sensitive buttons access features like audio, Bluetooth® and cruise control. Four smartphone-like pads offer direct control of countless cockpit features. The upper touchpads operate the menu screen in the gauge cluster or the central multimedia display. Larger, lower touchpads let you vary your cruising speed or adjust the audio volume, all with your hands on the wheel.

A breakthrough in automobile cockpit control, the Mercedes-Benz User Experience is further enhanced in the EQS. Voice Control with Natural Language Understanding
Memorizing fixed voice commands is a thing of the past: Artificial intelligence makes the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) a future you can live today. Vehicle functions for a wide range of features respond to natural, conversational phrases. For example, say "I feel cold" and MBUX can adjust the climate control. It even learns new phrases over time, responds with more flexible and friendly language as well. The system can also distinguish interaction from every seat.
Burmester 3D Surround Sound system w/EV Sound
The Burmester® 3D system pairs innovations in mobile audio with legendary quality. A Digital Signal Processing amp can output 710 total watts to deliver a natural sound spectrum in any music genre.
