Ford Bronco PERFORMANCE
This Is What You Were Waiting For
The all-new Bronco is back to into the wilderness. Bronco was torture-tested in the Johnson Valley desert – home of King of the Hammers. It also took on the grueling Baja 1000, one of the world's toughest off-road endurance races. So get ready for rugged adventure because Bronco is coming to help you experience all the excitement the wild has to offer.
Electronic-locking Front and Rear Axle
When activated, the available electronic-locking front and rear differentials lock the wheels on each axle to optimize traction and improve off-road performance when the situation requires it.
Suspension and Available Stabilizer Bar Disconnect
The all-new Bronco has available best-in-class maximum suspension travel. To complement that suspension travel, available Trail Stability Control™, with its Bilstein® position-sensitive-damping (PSD) shocks, utilizes end stop control valve (ESCV) technology to provide control and stability during spirited off-road driving. Also, a stabilizer bar with unique disconnect functionality is standard on Badlands.
4x4 – with Part-Time Selectable Engagement
The electronic shift-on-the-fly (ESOF) two-speed transfer case is the base, "part-time" system. This system offers the driver three modes plus Neutral. In 4H and 4L, the system provides mechanically locked 4x4. When 4L is selected, wheel torque increases for conditions like deep sand, steep grades or pulling heavy objects. Flat towing is possible by putting the transfer case into the Neutral position.
Advanced 4x4 – with Automatic On-Demand Engagement
Advanced 4x4 system features a two-speed electromechanical transfer case (EMTC) that adds an auto mode for automatic on-demand engagement to select between 2H and 4H. In 4A, the system continuously varies power to the front wheels for optimum performance for all on-road conditions. Flat towing is possible by putting the transfer case into the Neutral position.
Available Best-in-Class Ground Clearance & Water Fording
Stay clear of sharp rocks, fallen branches and other obstacles with a projected best-in-class ground clearance of 11.6 inches.
With a high-mounted air intake and best-in-class ground clearance, Bronco has an available best-in-class water-fording capability of up to 33.5 inches.
Hit the trails with the class-exclusive 7-speed manual transmission (6+1 Crawler Gear) paired with the available 2.3L engine. The manual transmission features a unique crawl ratio of up to a best-in-class 94.75:1.
An available segment-first 10-speed automatic gives impressive low gears and helps keep you in the engine's power band.
Terrain Management System™ with G.O.A.T. Modes™ Goes Over Any type of Terrain
Adjust your drive mode to match the environment. Bronco features five standard drive modes: Sand, Slippery, Sport, Eco and Normal. The ever-capable Badlands comes with two additional modes: Mud/Ruts and Rock Crawl and substitutes Sport mode for Baja. In total, there are eight available modes that vary by trim.
Best-in-Class Performance & Torque
Bronco offers a standard 4 cylinder engine delivers best-in-class performance. The 2.3L EcoBoost cranks out an impressive 270 horsepower with best-in-class standard gas torque of 310 lb. -ft. The available 2.7L EcoBoost with 4x4 is projected to produce a best-in-class 310 horsepower and 400 lb. -ft. of torque.
