The AMG GLE 43 wears the largest standard wheels in its class, by far. The 21-inch AMG alloys feature a twin 5-spoke design with shimmering silver faces set off by gloss black inlays. They're fitted with staggered-width all-season tires for an optimal balance of surefooted handling, quick acceleration and composed comfort. Front tires are sized a beefy yet low-profile 275/45R21, with 315/40R21 tires laying down seriously wide tracks at the rear.

If it detects wheelspin, severe understeer (plowing), or oversteer (fishtailing), ESP® can brake individual wheels and reduce engine power to help bring the vehicle under control.
PRE-SAFE®
A Mercedes-Benz first, PRE-SAFE® can detect instability during certain vehicle maneuvers that suggest a collision or rollover is imminent. It can then tighten the front seat belts, adjust the front passenger seat, and close the windows and sunroof, all in an effort to better prepare the occupants and restraints in the moments before a collision. If no accident occurs, the seat-belt tensioners reverse, and you simply readjust your seat, open the sunroof and continue on your way.

Active Brake Assist
Radar-based technology can alert you if you're approaching a vehicle ahead, or even some stationary objects, at a speed and distance that suggest a collision is likely. As soon as the driver starts to brake, Active Brake Assist can automatically provide an appropriate level of braking to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity. If you fail to respond, the system can also initiate braking automatically at many driving speeds.
