Hyundai Nexo PERFORMANCE 
System
When you drive, the hydrogen travels from the tanks to the fuel-cell stack. There it goes through an electrochemical reaction with oxygen collected from the air intake. This creates electricity, which powers the motor, and water.
H2O
Inside the fuel cell, hydrogen atoms are split into protons and electrons. The electrons flow to the electric motor, which is what powers Nexo. The electrons then return to the fuel cell where they and the protons recombine with oxygen to form water.
